Careers
Four roles. One weird company.
Le Day Club is a daytime social club for grown-ups in Montreal. Summer camp energy, not nightclub energy. We're hiring for four jobs. Each one has a Must have, a Nice to have, and a Legendary Pokémon, the rare version we hope walks through the door but won't pretend to expect.
Pay: honest, and discussed honestly. Equity for co-founder. Paid gigs or revenue upside for the others, scoped to fit. If money is the blocker but the fit is obvious, tell us anyway.
Even better
One person who can do all four. Hat collection grows, org chart stays small, equity goes further, decisions move faster. Multi-hat hustlers eat first around here. If that's you, apply for co-founder and say so up top.
Video Maker / Editor
Turn sweaty strangers becoming friends into content.
We run events. The events are good. Nobody knows because the only footage is the Imagineer's iPhone held vertically at a bad angle (there's only one Imagineer, hi, that's me). Fix that.
- You can cut a 30-second reel without leaning on a trending sound.
- You own a camera that is not just the phone in your pocket.
- You understand that a quiet shot is sometimes the shot.
- Vertical and horizontal fluent. Thumbnails that don't look like bait.
- Color grading that stops short of sepia-filter cosplay.
- You live in Montreal and can show up on a Saturday.
Your own Premiere / DaVinci rig, a drone you're licensed to fly, and one piece of work that made a stranger cry in public.
Promoter
Close the gap between "I'll think about it" and Stripe.
Le Day Club runs social fitness events, and every seat has to be filled by a human who said yes on purpose. That's you.
- You know people who know people. You've filled a room before, a party, a club night, a wedding, a Discord.
- You are not afraid of the follow-up DM. The second one. The third.
- You get why this isn't a nightclub and can explain it in one sentence.
- Bilingual EN / FR (Montreal is a two-language problem).
- You already run, or have run, a small community somewhere.
- Comfortable on camera, promoter who can also appear in the video is 2x.
You can get a yes from the McGill, Concordia, and UdeM group chats in the same week, and the three yeses don't already know each other.
Social Media Manager
Run @ledayclub like it's a person, not a brand.
You own Instagram, TikTok, and whatever lands next. Calendar around events: pre-hype, day-of, recap. Captions in the Le Day Club voice (irreverent, EN / FR / PT mix, no corporate sludge). Light reels + stories. The DMs and comments, you're the brand's first-line public personality.
- A personal IG or TikTok that is actually good. Show it; the resume isn't the point.
- Voice. You can be funny on demand. Cringe-resistant.
- Bilingual minimum, EN + FR, or EN + PT. Trilingual is an unfair advantage.
- Montreal-based, event presence matters. Remote is OK if the work shows.
- Light video editing (CapCut, Premiere) so you don't bottleneck on the Video Maker for every reel.
- Comfortable with the Le Day Club vibe, curated, slightly chaotic, sincerely warm. You'll moderate too.
You've grown a community before, even a small one, and can describe exactly why it worked. Bonus if you've killed a brand voice that wasn't working and rebuilt the next one.
Co-founder
The other name on the cap table.
Not a "help out sometimes" role. The kind of person who argues with Imagineer about pricing on a Tuesday night and then ships the fix on Wednesday.
- Real ownership appetite, hours, stress, and upside.
- A complementary skillset. Imagineer writes code and writes too much. Bring what he doesn't.
- You can say no to a bad idea out loud, including your own.
- You've shipped something before, a product, a business, a community, a nonprofit, a zine, anything with users.
- Montreal-based, or moving. Remote co-founders are a different game and not this one.
- You read the manifesto and didn't roll your eyes.
You've founded before. Exit or crater, both count, the lessons are symmetric. You like this idea more than you like this job posting.
How to apply
No Greenhouse, no cover letter. Two minutes below. Tell us which role, one thing you've made or done that you are proud of, and where to find more of your work.
If you read this far and you're unsure which role fits, pick co-founder. Or you're a very thorough person, which is also useful.
